Frequently Asked Questions
*ABOUT IN-PERSON SERIES*
What kinds of classes do you offer?
“Herbalism for Beginners” is a series of seven classes where we cover herbs for each major system of the body. Students gain hands-on experience during each class making medicinal products, and light homework assignments are given each class.
When do you offer this course?
Hannah is currently taking a break from teaching this course series in-person. She encourages anyone interested in learning from her to sign up for the virtual class series, which is self-paced. Local students receive 10% off herbs and spices when enrolled in the course.
Who takes this course?
There is a limit of 8 students per series. Hannah has graduated 14 classes, and the student body has been beautifully diverse. Ranging in age, culture, gender, and profession, what ties us all together is a common thirst for herbal knowledge. This course is designed to bring the community together and empower people to take control of their own health and well-being.
How much does it cost?
Tuition for the entire in-person series is $725.00. A non-refundable deposit of $375.00 is required to secure your space. The remaining $350.00 is due by the first night of class. **payment plans are an option**
The virtual version of this course series costs $369.00 and students get access to all videos and pdfs for life.
Will I graduate as an Herbalist?
The term “Herbalist” is not regulated, so theoretically any person could call themself an Herbalist. This course is not designed for students looking to gain a certification or “title” as an herbalist. Rather, it is designed for students looking to learn how to incorporate herbs into their own daily life. Most students upon completion of this series feel excited to learn more–they are just at the beginning of their herbal journey! Ultimately, we are all just beginners since the beauty of plant medicine is that it is a vast, endless ocean of information waiting for us to dive in and explore! As my dear teacher says, “To be a good Herbalist is not to know the properties and uses of every plant, but rather, to connect with, and deeply get to know a handful of plants really well. That, is a good Herbalist.”
What other classes are offered for graduates?
Hannah encourages her students to attend herbal conferences and continue their education through self-study; she provides students with a list of references (conferences, books, websites, online schools) on the first day of class. She also has begun to offer Advanced Modules with a variance in subject matter. These modules are offered individually–meaning you can sign up for as many or as few as you like based on interest. Prior herbal training is recommended when participating in these modules.
Is there a virtual option?
Yes! See above!
